Hurd Hall Fire, 2016

March 15, 2016, during our Fellowship Kitchen hour, a fire was reported in the Hurd-Hall area of the building.  Those working and in attendance were evacuated and the Rochester Fire Department responded.   No one was hurt and the fire was confined to a small area of the church hall.   The smoke damage was heavy and not confined to the church hall.   The Sanctuary was filled with smoke, and fire-fighters had to access the flames below, by cutting into the sanctuary wall nearest the point of origin.
From September of 2016, we have been able to occupy the rebuilt Hurd-Hall area and once again reach out to the community in love with hosting the Fellowship Kitchen, and the many groups who access our space for scouting, meetings, and the many ministries found on other pages of this website.
