Bible Study

Bible Study Opportunities:

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL is set for the week of July 18. The theme will be CAVE QUEST. VBS will run Monday-Friday beginning with dinner at 5:30, and class from 6:00 - 8:00. This year we will also be adding an adult study component. This will be especially convenient for parents whose kids are in VBS. At the moment, we are considering repeating the ONE NIGHT WITH THE KING study in this time slot.

One Night with the King

The new Bible study ONE NIGHT WITH THE KING comes to FUMC Wednesday evenings in June. This is a study of the unique book of Esther, regarded as the greatest short story in Jewish literature and the basis for the festival of Purim.  The book of Esther, although only 10 chapters long, contains just about everything you could imagine: A banished queen, secret plots, a harem, eavesdropping, a beautiful new queen with a big secret, intrigue at a  beauty school, an evil villain, and chaos in the streets.  Each session will consist of a 30-minute portion of the movie “One Night With The King”, along with discussion of the corresponding portion of the book. Join us June  22, and 29 from 6:30 - 7:30 PM in Conference Room 1.

Word Seekers Bible Study

This bible study meets weekly in the library.  The book they are studying is “How to get into the Bible.” Anyone interested in joining them on Sundays at 4 p.m beginning September 13 should come as you are. You can either share books or Sandy Skammels will order you one.  Her number is 603-948-8133.
