FEED THE NEED Putting our faith into motion by feeding the body, mind and soul
LENTEN BIBLE STUDY
It is hard to believe that we are already preparing for the beginning of the holy season of Lent, which begins on Ash Wednesday, March 1st. Lent means a lot of different things in the life of the church, among them our annual Lenten Bible Study. This year we have decided to use Adam Hamilton’s book, Half Truths: God Helps Those Who Help Themselves and Other Things the Bible Doesn’t Say as our resource. Groups will meet for five weeks on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 beginning on March 8th, or on Thursday afternoons at 12:30 beginning on March 9th. The book is available through Amazon and Cokesbury (and perhaps other sellers). Due to the recent publication and current cost, you are not required to purchase the book, though you may certainly do so if you wish. A copy will be available for loan in the office. Let Pastor Jeff know if you would like him to order the book for you (cost $13). A sign-up sheet will be available in the welcome center so we know how many copies of the material to prepare.
à Week One: “Everything Happens for a Reason”
à Week Two: “God Helps Those Who Help Themselves”
à Week Three: “God Won’t Give You More Than You Can Handle”
à Week Four: “God Said It, I Believe It, That Settles It”
à Week Five: “Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin”
Word Seekers Bible Study
