Music Ministry

Image goes here.
Music. Originally, we were known as “the singing Methodists”. The nickname still applies to us today. Music is central to the life of worship and mission at FUMC. A song can often touch people in a way that a sermon cannot. From the youth choir for boys and girls; to an adult choir, there are many opportunities to “make joyful noise unto the Lord” from our bell choirs to GRASP!, our contemporary group. Our choirs have travelled to the National Cathedral in Washington, DC as well as to the Rochester Cathedral in Rochester, England.

Choir Practice Resumes

All Choirs start rehearsing in September.   Below you will find the dates and times of their rehearsals.   If you are not a member of one of these groups, and would like to be involved, you can talk to myself or one of the other adult volunteer leaders of the group (s).
Anyone is welcome at anytime to attend a rehearsal simply as a spectator.    There are no secret decoder-rings or handshakes.   You might have to be buzzed in through the back security entrance, but that is not to keep potential choristers out. Simply a security precaution.
We would love to have you be a part of the music ministry at FUMC.
